Antique 19th Century French Yellow Glazed Confit Pot

Confit jars were used in the south of France for preserving meats such as duck or goose. The bottoms were not glazed, as the pots were half buried in the ground to maintain freshness. 

This item is in very good condition with normal age-appropriate wear and signs of use that add to its unique appeal. Multiple photos are provided that should be considered part of the description.
